A great end to a great day

As I'm sitting here during the commercial breaks from tonights Glee, I realize that I've had a great day today!  Let me recap:

First off, I stopped my the MAC counter at Macy's and had the makeup artist do my eyeshadow... always a good time!

Next, I met one of my dearest friends, Jessi, for lunch today.  We decided on PeiWei which, if you've never had it, is delicious.  I had the Thai River Noodles and they were very good.  After our grub we stopped over to Archivers for a few things that I needed for my frames.  I bought some shimmery paper and sparkley numbers.  One of my favorite moments of the day was when we were making eachother laugh by making up voices to the Halloween pumpkin stickers we found.  Jessi is a true treasure of a friend!

During the torrential downpour, we tucked away in David's Bridal to look at a few bridesmaids dresses.

Upon returning home I got right to work.

I don't have them completely finished yet but I have a great start.

There are 207 days left until the wedding.  It is going to be here before I know it.  The anticipation is killing me but I still have so much to do.

New Dress!

So it's been a few days since I've updated.  I bought a new dress on Thursday!!  I'm so happy to have it.  I was actually able to walk out of the store with it.  I love it.  It has such great details.  The train is my favorite part.  Here is a little sneak peak:

On another note, we booked our photographer.  We decided to go with JW Photography.  They have such great work and I am so excited to work with them. We will be scheduling our engagement session soon.  I have a few ideas on where I would like to go but those are TOP SECRET for now.  I will fill you in soon enough.  I know it's short and sweet but I will talk to you later.  Ta-Ta for now!

Today is the day...

Again!  Let me explain.  Today I am making a second venture to the bridal shop to try on dresses and this time friends are included.  It seems as though my indecisiveness has gotten the best of me.  What you must know is that I already have a dress.  I'm just unsure of it.  Back in June, a dress that I chose was ordered.  When it arrived less than 2 weeks later, it was damanged.  A watermark was noticed on the bodice and a small snag was located at the foot of the dress.  Upon returning the dress, a second dress of the same version was ordered.  So now I wait for it's arrival.  With all this time on my hands, I've been doing some thinking that maybe this dress isn't the right dress after all.  Fortunately, there is a second dress.  A dress that I couldn't decide if it was the number 1 or the number 2.  I think it may have been the number 1 all along.  Besides, I think it's meant to be this way... things happen for a reason, right?  Even if I push them in that direction.  So, here's to tonight!  I'll keep you updated.

I've got a good feeling...

I am very excited!  I have such a great feeling about the photographer we met today.  He is super friendly and offers a great deal.  And most importantly, his work is fantastic.  Ray likes him too!  Check out his website and blog:

It's been a long day.  I didn't get started on my table frames as I had hoped and expected.  My "Mr to be" and I decided to do a little dining out and grocery shopping.  It was much needed on both accounts.  Our time together has been difficult to come by with our crazy schedules.  I hope to have new wedding updates for you on Thursday!!

I start my newest job tomorrow, please wish me luck.  It's nice for a change but I also wish I could get into a set schedule and settle in.  I am nervous but happy and hoping for the best from this 4 week rotation.  Each day I get closer to the end of my fellowship and closer to my final placement.  Here's to happiness... please?  :o)

Time is ticking...

Time is ticking away.  It's 3:20 and I'm waiting for Ray to get moving!  Photographer appointment is at 4 and we have to leave in 20 minutes.  Wakey wakey.

Something crafty is on my agenda for today.  I am going to stop at JoAnn's or Michael's in search of something blingy to embellish my photo frames with.  I've purchased 20 mini frames to serve as table markers on each of the guest tables.  The frames are small, silver, and have a sort of star-burst or diamond design on them.  I'm thinking a little rhinestone will do them some justice.  I still haven't decided whether to print the table numbers on shiny pieces of paper or to search for some die-cut numbers that I can glue to cardstock.  I will keep you updated.

I hear someone stirring... finally he is up!  15 minutes until we walk out the door!

So much left to do...

215 days left until the knot is tied.  I have accomplished so much and still have so much left to do.  My wedding planning is coming along slowly but surely.  Already I have many of the centerpieces, have chosen my colors and theme, the venue and caterer are in order, and flowers and music are in the works too.  I am very fortunate to have family members who are willing to jump in and help me out in this exciting time in my life.

Tomorrow (or today rather) I will meet with my potential photographer.  We were supposed to meet with him last Friday but it turns out that today is better for all parties.  I am so excited to finally select my photographer because pictures are one of the most important things to me when my wedding is concerned.  To capture those moments, emotions, and reactions is so important to me because it helps me relive those wonderful moments.  It helps me remember everything I worked so hard for.  It's beautiful.

First thing to discuss is engagement pictures.  I can't wait to have them taken and be able to share them with you.  These pictures will be our first professional photographs together.  I can't wait.  I have so many ideas!!  I'm thinking night skies, city scapes, and special places that we share and have walked many times before. 

What else is next?  Well, let me just tell you of my bride anxiety that I have allowed myself to become exposed to.  I have decided that I'm not so sure about the wedding gown that I have selected.  I cannot pinpoint exactly what it is that I am unsure about.  Something about that other dress has been on my mind and I can't stop thinking about it. Thursday, I am meeting with my bridal party to try on dresses one more time and confirm tha I have or have not made the right decision.  My bridal shop has been super nice about allowing me to exchange my dress since my order still hasn't arrived.  Somehow I think this was meant to be... regardless, there is no harm in trying it on again, right?
