The waiting game

Here we are, day 6 of 10, and I cannot wait to see our engagement pictures.  I swear I have looked every hour today since I got home to see if a little tidbit had been posted on my photographers website.  I can't help myself.  Maybe I'll just check one last time tonight.  :o)

I need to get back on my game and start getting more plans in line.  For starters, I need to finish my guest list.  Save the dates need to be mailed soon and I haven't even started looking at invitations yet.  Sigh, I don't even know where to start.  My guest table frames are almost done.  I just need to add the rhinestones and they will be finished.  The cake needs to be ordered, and designed as well.  I still have a few centerpieces that need to be purchased but I do have most of them already.  I need shoes and jewelry, and Ray needs his tux.  Of course he wants to buy his to keep.  But all in all, things are coming together slowly but surely.

Sick of being sick

It's my 4th day in my 5 day off stretch and I'm still sick.  Figures.  Why does it seem that when ever I have a mini-vacation that I'm always feeling under the weather.  Even though I don't want to be sick while working, I really don't want to be sick on my days off either.  No fun.

Yesterday I went to Polaris mall with my cousin Jessie to find a new outfit... a new outfit for engagement pics!!  Yes, our engagements pictures will be taken tomorrow.  I am so excited!!  Hopefully, I will wake up bright and early, feeling refreshed and never better.  Unlikely, but one can always hope, right?  Pictures will be taken starting at 10am in 2 locations.  I can't spill the beans on location just yet but be sure that I will share them just as soon as the pictures are available.

Speaking of... I just got off the phone with Heidi, one our our fantastic photographers, and confirmed our meeting place and time.  AGH!  I am thrilled right now!  I can't wait!!

So here is the update: we didn't get our pictures taken.  Sucks! I know, right? But no worries, our pictures are scheduled a few days from now so it will all be OK.  I'm bummed, but what can you do?  Things happen and we must move on... I'll keep you posted.  :o)
